I am the first ROC, Gluten free, organic , oatmeal processor in Canada....[farmer owned and operated]...Ive been certified organic for 27 yrs, I sit as vice president on AOPA [Alberta Organic Producers Association]. We process Old Fashioned Oatmeal, Quick Oatmeal, Oat Flour, and Oat Fibre... The idea of "value adding", to our production became very important to me. We operate with full transparency, giving the consumer a full "picture" from start to finish [crop being planted, to harvest, to processing ,to packaging]. We strive to "give back" , by donating to local food banks.
our gluten free oatmeal products ,fall under the "purity protocol program", which means CFIA's standards for "gluten free" fall under 20 ppm [parts per million]...under the purity protocol program , it is 5 ppm...which is very important for "brittle" Celiacs, ....safe food is critical in todays day and age, and we strive to have consumer confidence in our product
