The Honourable Oneil Carlier, Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, participated in a working lunch with members at the AFPA office in Calgary recently. He was in town as a guest of AFPA President Marilynn Boehm who escorted him on a tour of several food and beverage processing facilities. Minister Carlier spent several hours meeting with processors to learn about their operations, hear about their successes and the innovative ways they are meeting challenges.
The AFPA members on the tour were honoured to have the opportunity to strengthen AFPA's strong relationship with Minister Carlier over a hot meal and we look forward to more face-to-face opportunities to advance the interests of Alberta's food and beverage processors.
