Food & Beverage Health & Safety Officer Designation

AFPA's F&BHSO designation is for those individuals wishing to achieve formal recognition for their efforts and commitment to workplace safety in our industry.

  • This designation is similar and follows the same basic principles and foundational requirements as the ACSA’s NCSO or the MHSA’s MSO designations.
  • To obtain the F&BHSO designation candidates must complete (or have previously completed) all 6 AFPA COR courses, plus required elective courses and challenge the exam (80% pass) to obtain this designation.
  • To maintain the designation you must attend professional development, management, or any workplace safety courses over a 3 year cycle, then attend a refresher course with exam (80% pass).
